Residents will be aware that this route had to be closed due to the bridge over the Brook becoming unsafe for both pedestrians and also farm traffic necessary to gain access to the field beyond. 

A structural engineer has now inspected the structure and confirmed that improvement work is needed by way of steel decking throughout. This work will be undertaken and funded by Suffolk County Council Farms, who have responsibility for the bridge. We are pressing for as earlier a date and completion as is possible so that the route can be reopened.
