Parish Council
The Parish Council has been forced to review the provision of normal and dog waste bins throughout the parish as a result of Babergh District Council increasing their charges by over 30%.
A comparison with other similar parishes revealed that we do have a disproportionately large number of bins for the size of the village, so we have therefore decided to look for opportunities to rationalise the overall number by installing combined dog and normal waste bins.
This change has recently been completed in Back Lane and at the Elm Lane / Old London Road junction where a total of four normal / dog waste bins have been replaced by two larger combined bins next to the bus shelters.
Over time, we will look for further opportunities to do the same without causing undue inconvenience in an effort to manage our costs appropriately. We are grateful - once again - to Matt Green for doing a great installation job.
