Mill Lane Play Area Upgrade - TAKE THE SURVEY

The Parish Council is pleased to advise residents that we have embarked upon a project to upgrade the Mill Lane play area. The space is much loved but is tired and in need of modernisation and investment. We aim to fund up to 75% of the (significant) cost through an application for some Community Infrastructure funds which are held at District level by Babergh District Council. The balance will be met through our own Neighbourhood Infrastructure reserves plus whatever we can raise from other sources.

We are seeking initial designs from 3 different suppliers, all of whom have delivered similar schemes elsewhere, and will be working with the School and Pre-School to establish a consultation and feedback exercise to ensure that pupils (and their parents) can have their say on what would work best.

We are also grateful to Faye Wood for initiating a SurveyMonkey process aimed at gathering residents' views on this upgrade. We want to ensure that this project is grounded in the widest possible consultation and involvement so would encourage everyone to give literally a minute or two to answer a few questions and submit. The more we can demonstrate that the community is behind this investment, the stronger our chances of securing the funding we need! This is the link to the Surveymonkey.

Residents can keep abreast of developments with this project via the minutes of our meetings which are published on this website and posted on the noticeboard outside the Church Room.
