Reducing vehicle speed within our village interior is one of our top priorities. Over the last year we have had new Speed Indicator Devices installed in both The Street and Chapel Lane and these have made a visible difference to driver behaviour in these locations. We are also awaiting a final decision by Suffolk County Council on our application for a 20mph speed limit in Elm Lane, Back Lane and The Street. Residents will recall that this was supported by over 80% of those who responded to our survey on the matter.

Our small Community Speedwatch team continue to be active at key times and locations and are asking for one or two new members to help maintain momentum and visibility. The time commitment is very modest and full training etc is provided.

Please contact Sue Frankis at clerk@copdockandwashbrook.org, or telephone 07849 055699, if you feel you can help keep our village a safer place especially for pedestrians and cyclists alike.
