Residents are advised that the first stage of this project has been successfully completed and the new bus shelter is now operational.

We are hugely indebted to local residents Kristan Webber and Matt Green for the outstanding work they have done for us all on this. The commitment and professionalism they have shown throughout the design, construction and installation of the shelter and the renovation of the memorial seat has been above and beyond what could reasonably be expected. We (and they!) are also grateful to nearby residents and Charlie at The Brook who have kept them fed, watered and appreciated throughout, especially during spells of inclement weather.

By way of a reminder, funding for the shelter was secured from Suffolk County Council's Suffolk on Board scheme whilst Councillor Chris Hudson generously donated the seat renovation cost. The next phase of the work will focus on resurfacing the entire island and also deciding on planting options for the area within the memorial seat. Continuing the real community theme to the project, Bypass Nurseries have kindly agreed to supply whatever planting scheme we go with free of charge. We hope (believe!) that the end product will be an attractive and eye catching centre piece of the village that can be used and appreciated for may years to come.

FOOTNOTE: We are aware of the flooded drain and have reported this to Suffolk County Council to address.
