Parish Council
Despite a High Court decision that the planning decision made by Suffolk County Council was unlawful, the applicants have resubmitted their application UNCHANGED.
A period of re-consultation has started and ends on 19 October 2024. Bentley and Copdock & Washbrook Parish Councils will do our utmost to ensure that our previous concerns regarding impact of our Valued Landscape, HGV movements and noise impacts on nearby residents are addressed by Suffolk County Council.
It is vital that AS MANY RESIDENTS AS POSSIBLE SUBMIT THEIR OBJECTIONS PERSONALLY. Individuals may wish to give their own perspective on why Brockley Wood represents valued landscape to them or raise their own concerns about the woefully inadequate traffic management plan that will see 160 HGV's given unfettered access to Swan Hill and other narrow and completely unsuitable rural lanes.
How to make individual comments to Suffolk County Council by 19 October 2024-
a) Write to:- The Head of Planning, Growth, Highways & Infrastructure, Endeavour House, 8 Russell Road, Ipswich, IP1 2BX
b) Email to: planning@suffolk.gov.uk or,
c) Submit an on-line representation at https://suffolk.planning-register.co.uk/Planning/Display?applicationNumber=SCC%2F0105%2F22B
Please ensure reference SCC/0105/22B is quoted in your reply.
Both Parish Councils are seeking an extension to the consultation deadline in order to commission and receive further professional studies which further strengthen our successful judicial review claim and reinforce why Suffolk County Council should not repeat their previous mistake of unlawfully approving such a ruinous and unnecessary proposal.
We will continue to keep residents informed, but, again, encourage everyone to play their part by submitting their own objectives to the application as above.
