Pride in Your Place Grants
The Parish Council has been advised by Suffolk County Council (SCC) that about 100 responses have thus far been received regarding the consultation. This is a reasonable response but one which we would like to see increase significantly. The Scheme as at a very early stage and we would encourage all residents to take part so that SCC get the maximum possible input from the local community in order to inform any more detailed design that may emerge post consultation.

The Parish Council has been advised by the Suffolk County Council (SCC) Planning Officer responsible that the Brockley Wood planning application will not now be considered at the December meeting of the County Council's Development and Regulation Committee, as has previously been envisaged. The next available Committee date is on 4th February 2025.
National Highways has provided an update on the ongoing work along the A14 between Junction 52 (Claydon) and Junction 55 (Copdock Interchange).
Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious road traffic collision at Copdock on Sunday 17 November.
Residents will have noticed that the Speed Indicator Devices are now operational in both The Street and Chapel Lane. As well as helping drivers to limit their speed, they will also capture useful data about average speed and other aspects of driver behaviour.

Copdock and Washbrook Parish Council has submitted an OBJECTION on the following grounds….
Residents will be aware that this has been identified by Suffolk County Council (SCC) as a high priority route for walking and cycling and has received funding from Active Travel England for an initial design.

The Parish Council is pleased to confirm that Suffolk County Council has (finally) acceded to our request to allow more time for residents to respond to the reapplication, especially given the less than open and transparent way in which this was launched in conjunction with a very aggressive consultation timeline.
